Upon being re-elected, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has extended congratulations to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

In a congratulatory message to Sheikh Hasina, Giorgia Meloni expressed, "As Bangladesh's Prime Minister, I congratulate you on your re-election and extend my best wishes to you on behalf of the Italian government for your prestigious responsibilities."

Referring to the long-standing friendship between the two countries, the Italian Prime Minister mentioned, "I am pleased to note that in areas such as trade, fashion, security, and energy exchange, our foundational bilateral cooperation will continue to work together to strengthen peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region."
