Sheikh Hasina Took Oath as the Prime Minister for the Fifth Time

 Sheikh Hasina, the President of the Awami League, took the oath as the Prime Minister for the fifth consecutive term, combining her fourth term, in a ceremony held at the Bangabhaban on Thursday.

On Thursday evening at 7:03 PM, President M. Sahabuddin administered the oath of office to Sheikh Hasina, reciting the prime ministerial oath in 3 minutes.


Sheikh Hasina has been serving as the Prime Minister for the longest duration in Bangladesh's history. Over the course of four terms, she has governed the country for a total of 20 years, making her a prominent figure in the history of independent Bangladesh.


During the swearing-in ceremony at the Bangabhaban, the Secretary of the Cabinet Division, M. Mahbub Hossain, conducted the oath-taking event for the new ministers.
