Under the leadership of Awami League President Sheikh Hasina, the responsibilities of the new members of the cabinet have been assigned. Among the new members of the cabinet, some who were previously in the outgoing cabinet have retained their responsibilities in the same ministries. Conversely, while some members from the previous cabinet have been retained in the new cabinet, changes have been made in the allocation of ministries. Additionally, new ministers and state ministers have been given responsibilities in various ministries and departments.
On Thursday evening at the Bangabhaban, the swearing-in ceremony for the new cabinet, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, took place. President M. Sahabuddin administered the oath of office to the new members of the cabinet. The new cabinet comprises a total of 37 members, including the Prime Minister. Apart from the Prime Minister, there are 25 full ministers, including two technocrats who are not Members of Parliament. Additionally, there are 11 state ministers.
