In the report of the United Nations Human Rights Commission on Dhaka's grievances.

The government has expressed dissatisfaction with the United Nations Human Rights Commission's report on the election, as stated in a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday in Dhaka. The Ministry characterized the report from the UN Human Rights Commission as biased and provided an explanation.

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had strongly rejected the statement from the International Civil Society on Saturday through a press release. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka on Sunday, the report from the UN Human Rights Commission has come to the attention of the Bangladesh government. The government sees it as a partial representation of the ground reality and a biased assessment of human rights in the country, aiming to politicize the issue.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the UN Human Rights Commission has, unfortunately, overlooked its mandate and mispresented the ground reality through flawed presentation and biased evaluation of human rights. The government believes that the report reflects a recurrence of the politicization of human rights by the UN Human Rights Commission.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the government is committed to maintaining a democratic process, evident in the peaceful conduct of the recent elections on January 7th, where citizens freely and safely exercised their right to vote. The government highlighted the challenges faced during the election but insisted on the overall peaceful environment.

Regarding the allegations of violence and misconduct during elections, the Ministry stated that the government has taken stringent measures against those involved in unlawful activities. The government condemned the violent acts committed by political parties and affirmed its commitment to uphold the rule of law.

In response to the report's mention of alleged human rights violations by law enforcement agencies, the Ministry pointed out that the government has undertaken various measures to ensure accountability and prevent any abuse of power. The Ministry dismissed the claims of excessive use of force as baseless and lacking evidence.

The Ministry also highlighted the efforts to provide a secure environment for citizens to participate in the democratic process and criticized the UN Human Rights Commission for not verifying the accuracy of the claims made in its report. It emphasized the government's commitment to the Constitution and international human rights standards.

In conclusion, the Ministry expressed its disappointment with the report and urged the UN Human Rights Commission to verify the claims made before presenting them. The government asserted its commitment to human rights and cooperation with international bodies to address any valid concerns in a constructive manner.
